Foiling Stamped Images on 2 Christmas Cards

I have 2 more cards to share using the new Unity Stamp Company In My Heart stamp set. This time I’m adding foil to the stamped images. It is easy to do with some simple supplies you probably have. I always love the look of foil, especially for Christmas cards.

The Details

So, foiled cards are very difficult to photograph. These cards are stunning in person, you’ll just have to trust me 😁 or check out the video to see them better. I’ve mixed 3 different colors of foil for these elegant cards.

Technique: Stamp your image in embossing friendly ink, heat emboss with clear embossing powder, and then use your laminator or Minc to adhere the foil. The embossing powder “reheats” and sticks to the foil as it rolls through.

Technique Tip: Laminators or a Minc can smoosh the embossing powder as your project rolls through making your image a big foiled mess. To minimize this, use the lowest pressure setting on your laminator (I used the 3ml setting on mine) and test out the Minc for the perfect settings.
