Today’s card is all about getting messy with a bit of mixed media featuring the Let Heaving and Nature Sing Unity Stamp Company stamp set. Join me as I get inky for the Aurora Borealis background and add lots of texture with the glittery snow.

The Details

That background is just amazing. I love how inks react with water to create the most interesting effects. Check out the video below on how I used these Distress reinkers in weathered wood, evergreen bough, and shabby shutters to create the Aurora Borealis background.

I wanted to add some sparkling snow so I mixed a bit of modeling paste with Glitz Glitter Gel. Then I applied it to the background with a Polka Dot stencil and also directly to the branches of the trees as well. After it was completely dry, the texture is just amazing and the glitter picks up the light in such a beautiful way.
