Do you love plaid? I sure do and I’m all about the plaid today.
I’m excited about the Unity Stamp Company layering stencils to help make plaid backgrounds super easy. I can’t wait for you to see it!
Plus, this color combo and plaid pattern would be absolutely perfect for a kid’s birthday card with this adorable baby lamb. Child cards are challenging for me, but the cute animal and plaid combo was a match made to be.

The Card
The Details
This sweet little lamb has made an appearance once again. I feel spring in the air and couldn’t wait to bring out some softer colors. I love the combo of blue, yellow, and grey for a boy or a girl card. I grabbed some Copic markers and the Plaid Builder Stencils to create the background. The stencils make this so easy. You can see it all come together in the videos below.
Copic colors: C4, BG01, Y15
I used coordinating Copic markers to color the lamb and the little stars. It all goes so perfectly together. If you’d like to watch how this little fella came to life, I have a video just for coloring below.
Copic colors: C0, C1, C2, C4; BG000, BG01, BG05; Y15; R20, R22; 0
This stamp set has so many sentiments that are perfect for the front and center of your card. I couldn’t resist splitting up the birthday sentiment to be finished on the inside and to have that little guy peeking in from the side. I stamped the lamb in light ink so I can still write a message over the top. I can get a bit wordy so figured I might need the space.
Assemble This! Video
Watch along as I assemble this card sharing my process and tips on how this card was created.
