How To: Stamp an Easy Watercolor Look + Video
Today’s card is all about stamping with rubber stamps to get an easy watercolor look. You can use any water reactive marker or ink pad for this technique. I am using Karin Brushmarker Pros with a favorite Unity Stamp Company Front & Center sentiment kit for an oh so sweet card.

The Details
This technique is a fun way to get a different look from your stamps. It has a watercolor look without all the watercolor effort. I chose an image that is fairly detailed and yet a bit solid so you could really see that watercolor effect when the ink moves. I’m using a stamp positioner tool to make this easier on me if I decide I want more layers, but you can achieve the same result without one.
I decided to work with Karin Brushmarker Pro pens because they are water-reactive and behave like watercolor paints. You can use any type of medium that has water-reactive ink — ink cubes or any brand of water-reactive markers. I find markers to be easiest if I want to be selective on my color placement.
Karin Brushmarker Pro colors: Cool Aqua, Turquoise, and Lush Green
Just apply some ink to your stamp with your Karin marker, spritz with a bit of water, and stamp. You can even add all of your colors at one time so they mix and blend. Then you can go back and add more layers of single colors to really get a layered effect.
Once all my watercolor stamping was done, I added a stamped background and a simple bow to highlight that You Are So Sweet sentiment. Check out the video to see all the action.
Bonus Tip: Create a card set by changing up your ink colors and sentiments. You might as well create a bunch of panels if you have your stamp already set up in your stamp positioning tool.
