This charming shaker card features a nostalgic red car carrying a Christmas tree through a winter wonderland, all nestled inside a snow globe. Using the Winter Shake Up stamp set and Minty Christmas paper pack, I’ve combined soft mint and red hues to bring out a fresh, cozy holiday vibe. The mini foam snowballs are the perfect little shaker bits, making this card feel like it’s snowing right inside! I love the playful energy of this card—it’s perfect for anyone who loves holiday surprises.

What Makes This Card Special

• Tiny Snowball Shaker Bits: Mini foam snowballs that really bring that snow globe to life! I found these tiny snowballs at my local dollar store but I bet any big craft store would have them.
• Cutest Car-and-Tree Stamp: I mean, could this little car be any more festive? It’s bringing the tree and the fun!
• Fresh Holiday Color Palette: Minty Christmas paper pack gives a unique, festive look with unexpected holiday colors.
• Copic Colors to Match: I chose R24 and R29 for the car and G40, BG34, and G28 for the tree, with W4 for shading—all inspired by the Minty Christmas paper pack. Plus some white gel pen highlights.
• Shaker Card Action: It’s interactive, playful, and always a crowd-pleaser – who doesn’t love a shaker card?

Creative Tips & Techniques

• Use Fun Foam & Acetate: 3 layers of fun foam provide the perfect depth for shaker bits, while acetate keeps everything contained and gives a clear view.
• Tape Your Dies for Perfect Alignment: To create a precise frame, tape the coordinating dies together before cutting—this way, the die-cut frame will match up perfectly with both the stamped image and the fun foam layers. It’s a quick trick that saves time and keeps everything aligned, making assembly a breeze!
• Avoid Overfilling the Shaker Area: Too many shaker bits can hide the stamped image—keep it light so the car and tree shine through. I added just enough snow to read the bottom of the tires.
• Select Subtle Patterns: With multiple patterned papers, choose ones that are soft and not too busy to avoid overwhelming the design.
