Hello, friends! Today, I’m playing with the new Pissy Kitty stamp set from Unity Stamp Company and pairing it with bold sentiments for a snarky yet oh-so-relatable card. She’s giving Monday morning vibes for sure. I’m using paper piecing, Copic coloring, and a fun mix of sentiments to bring this grumpy kitty to life. Dang Another Day

This cranky little kitty is having a serious case of the Mondays. I know how you feel kitty. She was pretty easy to paper piece together and then I added some Copic coloring to blend it all together.

Copic Colors: N1, N3, N4; 100

The sentiment is a combination of these bold words and the start of a sentiment in the Rise & Whine Pissy Kitty set. I masked off the end of “Another day” so I could stamp it under the “dang” from the Say It Loud & Clear set. The rest of the phrase, “another dramatic sigh,” will go inside to complete the sentiment.

Creative Tips & Techniques:

• Paper Piecing Like a Pro: Stamp the image on two patterned papers that complement each other without being too busy. Then, stamp once on white cardstock to keep the main image crisp against the layers.
• Seamless Edges: Run a black marker along the cut edges of your fussy cut elements. This little trick helps each layer blend in smoothly.
• Shading for Depth: Add a touch of marker shading to the paper-pieced sections. It softens the layers and makes the whole design look more cohesive.
• Mix & Match Sentiments: Get creative by combining bold words with smaller phrases from different sets. Masking off part of a sentiment lets you customize the message even more.
• Torn Edge Detail: A simple torn paper edge adds texture and a casual feel, balancing out structured patterns and bold stamping.ur cards.
