I’ve brewed up a fun Double Take featuring the brand new What’s Brewing Collection from Hero Arts and beautiful papers from Your Paper Insider. We’re taking the same stencil and stamp & die set for a spin! One card is bold and teal with a coffee twist, the other is soft and pink with a sweet tea vibe. It’s a great way to stretch your supplies while playing with color and texture.
Come hang out in the Assemble This! Video for the full crafty session, plus a few clever tricks like sneaky die cutting and adding shimmer with wax.

You’re My Bestea

For this card, I went pink and pretty with a tea-inspired twist. I used just inks with the Delft Floral layering stencil to create this bold pattern, then die cut it for the teacup. The tag with a little heart is just the cutest detail. The layered card base includes shimmer pink cardstock and a soft gray to make that cup really pop. A simple layout, but it feels full of love and friendship.

What Makes This Card Special:
- Soft and Sweet Palette: The pink and gray color combo sets a gentle, calming tone that pairs perfectly with the tea theme.
- Patterned Cup Focal Point: Stenciling first, then die cutting the cup, gives it a custom look that feels like fancy china.
- Layered with Love: Simple paper layers add interest without overpowering the design, letting that sweet little tag and heart shine.
Thanks a Latte

This card leans into teal tones and a coffee theme using the cup die. The background came to life with the Delft Floral stencil and Hero Hues Reactive inks, then I added Hero Wax over the top layer for a shimmery finish that’s so pretty in the light. The glittery white paper behind the cup adds texture, and I love how the sentiment from the stamp set pops layered on the front. A sweet little heart tops it all off.

Creative Tips & Techniques
- Mix Mediums for Texture: For the teal card, I layered Hero Hues Reactive inks with Hero Wax over the stencil for a dimensional shine that catches the light.
- Die Cut from the Center: I cut the teal cup from the middle of the background paper to save materials. Since it’s hidden by the top layer, no one will ever know.
- Stack Your Die Cuts: Layer your sentiment or tag shapes to add dimension and make them stand out against busy patterns.
I hope these two card ideas inspired you to explore different looks with the same supplies. Whether you’re Team Coffee or Team Tea, it’s so fun to see how color, paper, and little changes can make a big impact. These ideas are perfect for thank yous or anytime you want to brighten someone’s day.
