cupcakes…
I haven’t made a cupcake card in quite awhile. I went through a phase of cupcakes all the time, but then I got some owls and then it was owls all the time.
I use the Sweet Sunday Sketch #21 and Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #8 for inspiration. This also qualifies for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge to “frame” something.
I love kraft paper. Absolutely love, love, LOVE it!!!! So this color combo was right up my alley. I haven’t used pink in a while either, so this was a super fun challenge. I also have yet to do a mosaic or tile-like card. Very intimidating. I have a hard time with perfectly cut items and lining them up straight. Very nerve racking, but I’m pretty pleased with my first attempt.
The paper is from my new K&Company stack, isn’t it pretty. I used my Spellbinders label one and ran the cream colored label through my swiss dots folder. Ran some pink ink over the top so the dots would pop out. I tied some brown floss around the label and used some pop dots. The cupcake was stamped in red ink (oops, didn’t know it was red till it was stamped). So to match the color challenge, I used my pink Glaze pen over it and it looks so much like the bright pink it is scary. The swirls at the bottom are also from the same set and stamped with Versamark.
Just a quick sweet little card. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
