sweet sunday sketch #30
This is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch #30. I really stepped outside my color box and used purple!!! I don’t usually go for purples and pinks or pastel colors that often, but this butterfly was so pretty I just had to get it. Now I have to force myself to use more purple, which is kind of fun. I also am submitting it to the clean and simple challenge at Splitcoast Stampers since I used bling!
I have no idea which company made the purple papers. Isn’t that sad. This is probably one of the first paper packs I have ever purchased (so it might be close to 4 years old or more). I’m thinking it might be from one of the early “The Stack” stacks, but it is definitely from a time before I separated my paper out by company instead of color (for just this reason mind you).
I stayed pretty simple so the butterfly could shine. I ran the white cardstock through a Cuttlebug houndstooth embossing folder to give it some texture. I wasn’t completely sold on the houndstooth earlier, but I’m really loving it. Then I used my Spellbinder’s Labels Two die to create the tag with a Hero Arts sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
