winter time… when it is 110????
I love Caardvarks’ challenge this month and let me tell you, it is a challenge. We are reaching some high temps right now in Arizona. We are talking 110, 111, 113 and Caardvarks wants me to think about winter and holiday cards! But I am so up to the challenge, especially since the sponsor is Hero Arts. I am falling in love with Hero Arts stamps and desperately need to increase my stash. I have maybe 4 or 5… this is not enough I tell you and I definitely do not have any of their holiday or winter stamps. So I used what I had for this challenge.
I actually wanted to do a similar card last year for Christmas, but did not have the means to make the ornaments. Sunday I found the most awesome punch by EK Success at Joanns. It punches all three ornaments at one time and then folds flat. How cool is that!!! So I couldn’t wait to try it out.
The paper is by Basic Grey and I used a silver glitter white embossing powder. I think it is call Winter Wonderland or something like that, not exactly sure.
This is kind of a trial run for this year’s holiday card. I’m liking it and it may be the “ONE” this year. We shall have to wait and see.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
