you make me smile
The Hero Arts blog challenge this week is to create any themed card and mail it! I specifically made this card for my grandma. She appreciates receiving mail so much I just love sending her little cards occasionally. It makes me smile every time she calls to thank me for her card. So, I thought it was fitting to use the “you make me smile” stamp from Hero Arts.
Grey is fast becoming one of my favorite neutrals… especially with pink. I used my Labels Two nestie for the card base and the scalloped oval for my sentiment. The butterfly is stamped in grey ink onto patterned paper and then I embossed it with a clear embossing powder with a bit of a pearl to it. I used a light grey Copic Marker to add some shading to the butterfly wings as well. My sentiment is also embossed, but in white embossing powder. I finished it off with a little string. I just think it is a sweet little card and I hope my grandma likes it.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
