a fall happy everything
Yay, WordPress is back. I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend! It is amazing how fast a three day weekend goes… whooosh and it is gone! I planned to work on more than one card this weekend (plus many other things), but life had other plans. I finally made myself sit down this afternoon and work on this card for Mojo Monday #103.
This was a different kind of challenge for me. Not sure why, but the three panels threw me off. I ended up making a 6 x 6 inch card. That rarely happens. But I like the composition and I feel like I was able to do the sketch justice rather than cram it into a 4 x 5.5 inch card.
All the stamps and the color inspiration came from Hero Arts. I wanted to try and keep the card simple, so I left the background monochromatic and played with texture by using the CB tiny bubbles folder. I am loving this little designer tree set. It can be used for so many different types of cards. I’m glad I finally broke the seal!
Somehow I do not have any ribbon, rhinestones, string or buttons on this card. I think it would take away from the simplicity somehow. Only cardstock and ink for this card.
I’m ready to relax for the last few hours of my day… back to the real world of work tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
