are you ready yet???

For my Christmas celebrating friends… are you ready yet?  Gosh, I am not.  I still have so much more to do but I thought I would share one of my gift card holders with you today.

The Embellish Magazine blog has a fun color challenge going on right now: yellow, brown, light blue and kraft.  And the requirement to use snowflakes.  The Pink Elephant Challenge also has a winter theme.  I love snowflakes.  Since we don’t get snow in southern Arizona, I have to settle for the paper kind!  I realized I barely made any cards this year with a snowflake theme.  I hope these little gift card holders bring a little “white Christmas” to my friends.

Wanna know my secret to gift card holders???  Really… this is just a front.  There is a 2.5 x 4.25  inch coin envelope glued to the back.  I used to make my own coin envelopes, but I found an awesome deal on a pack of 500 from a office supply store going out of business.  So now I just create fronts and glue the envelope to the back.  Super easy!

The button is from Basic Grey and matches the nook and pantry line.  I just got a paper pad for Nook and Pantry… I can’t wait to break that out.  The Merry Christmas is embossed in some Chocolate Brown embossing powder.  This is definitely a staple in my stash.  Love it!
