Hello there! Do you LOVE creating for the Halloween season? I had so much fun mixing the Hero Arts August 2025 Card Kit with some extra fancy papers from the new August 2025 Your Paper Insider subscription box. This card is all about layering those gothic frames in unexpected ways. They’re meant to be stacked together into one frame, but I love how they can also stand alone. The plum background and shimmery yellow inserts are both from the Your Paper Insider Box #12 and add the perfect eerie elegance. I heat embossed the vintage portraits for extra shine and added a scattering of white enamel dots to break up the shadows. Plus, a little white gel pen to the eyes to make them extra spooky.

What Makes This Card Special:

Layered Frame Play: I used the same frame die in three creative configurations for a unique layout full of movement.
Portrait Stamps with Attitude: These vintage characters give off serious haunted mansion energy.
Shimmery Paper Pop: The buttery yellow cardstock has a subtle shimmer that adds spooky elegance without overwhelming the design.
Offset Arrangement: The staggered placement of frames draws the eye and makes the design feel alive.
Playful Details: White enamel dots lighten up the gothic mood and add fun contrast against the deep plum background.

This little framed scene captures the spirit of Halloween. I ink blended a dreamy mix of Gina K Designs Dark Lilac and Plum Punch inks for the background, then tucked in a sparkly heat embossed bat, a web, and a classic jack-o-lantern. The pumpkin is built from layering stamps using Sweet Mango, Tangerine Twist, and Black inks for that perfect pop of Halloween color. That golden patterned background is from Unity Stamp Company and gives just the right touch of old wallpaper vibes to complete the spooky vibes.

What Makes This Card Special:

Framed Mini Scene: The single ornate frame holds its own tiny Halloween world with a bat, web, and pumpkin. Don’t you love all that fine detail in the layered die cut frame.
Bold Background Choice: The damask-style golden paper looks like haunted wallpaper straight out of a spooky story.
Sparkly Embossing: Black glitter embossing on the bat brings in that magical Halloween shimmer.
Simple Focal Layering: The pumpkin is die cut and popped up for extra dimension without overcomplicating the scene.
