I am a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz, especially of Dorothy’s ruby red slippers. They were my favorite part of the Smithsonian Museum. When I saw the new Wizard of Oz collection from Spellbinders and Graphic 45, I knew I had to create this magical duo.

The deep red and glimmering gold papers from Your Paper Insider Box 13 were the perfect match to capture the whimsy and wonder of Oz. Add a touch of glitter, a hint of shine, and you’re halfway down the Yellow Brick Road. Watch the Jam Sesh video to see the whole adventure unfold.

A Walk Through the Field of Poppies

The shimmer and texture of this card just make my heart happy. I die cut the entire Oz crew from gold glitter cardstock and layered them over a rich, red embossed background using the Field of Poppies Embossing Folder. A little inking brought those flowers to life, giving it that dreamy, storybook depth. The golden silhouettes pop beautifully with foam tape, and the sweet sentiment from the BetterPress Plate Set ties it all together in pure Oz-style joy.

The Magic of the Leftovers

For this card, I used the negative space from that same die cut, proof that even the leftovers can shine! It’s all about that gorgeous red metallic cardstock from Box 13, peeking through and creating the silhouette of our favorite travelers. The entire design is one layer of glimmering gold and ruby red magic, finished with another uplifting sentiment from the same set. It’s simple, bold, and perfectly enchanting.
