Clean & Simple Fall Card with Peeking Kitties

Who says fall has to always be orange, red, and brown?

I wanted something a little softer for this clean and simple fall card, and the new Hide & Peek Stamp & Cut from the Hero Arts Cozy Season Collection was perfect for it. I mean, kitties peeking out from behind pumpkins? So dang cute.

This one came together with just a few simple choices, but they made those peeking kitties stand out in the best way.

Peeking Kitties

As soon as I saw this set, I pictured those kitty cats peeking out from a row of pumpkins. I love that they are solid silhouettes too. No coloring needed, and they stand out so well against the simple stamped pumpkins.

Gina K Ink Colors:

• Kitty & Sentiment: Kraft
• Pumpkins: Peach Bellin | Innocent Pink
• Leaves: Light Spruce

I almost went with gray for the kitties, but kraft felt warmer and a little more fall to me. Keeping the pumpkins and leaves as simple outlines helped the cats pop even more.

The spruce green leaves and enamel dots were the last little touches this card needed. They break up all those similar pink, orange and kraft tones just enough while keeping the design simple.

I seriously love how simply cute this one turned out. Those peeking kitties and the softer fall colors make it feel a little different without losing the cozy autumn feels.
