Vintage Sympathy Card {AT! Video}

Sympathy cards are never my favorite to make. But it is for the hard occasions that our paper hugs are needed the most. I’m using some lovely Unity Stamp Company products and inky techniques to send some loving support.

With Sympathy

Do you think sympathy cards should be muted or colorful? I have been starting to incorporate more color into my sympathy cards. Something that mimics a bright light when they are surrounded by such darkness. Anyhoo, that is why I chose to create with lots of layers of color.

This card is a mixture of embossing, ink smooshing & stenciling all over pattern paper. I love the look of all the colorful layers.

Design Tip: Don’t be afraid to use flowers and butterflies for men! Flowers are a universal sign of love in my book.

Printable Saying Strip

The general ‘With Sympathy’ stamp is lovely and I use it often. I have someone special in mind for this card and decided a more personal sentiment was in order. This saying is from the Sympathy Saying Strips available in my Etsy shop and was just what I needed to say.
