Hi friends! I love a good vintage Christmas card, especially when it involves some simple stamping and pretty patterned papers! The new Heart of Saint Nicholas from Unity Stamp Company has such a lovely nostalgic feel, and I couldn’t resist giving it a little old-fashioned charm. I’m keeping the techniques simple with some distressed paper layers and rustic touches for a beautiful vintage Christmas look.

Vintage Christmas Charm
I wanted to keep the stamping simple and let the beautiful St. Nicholas image and vintage papers set the tone. The Noel’s Charm patterned papers were perfect for this, with their traditional Christmas colors and old-fashioned feel.
To give the layers a little more character, I tore the top patterned paper and distressed the edges with scissors. I also blended Vintage Photo Distress Ink around all the layers to give everything that warm, aged look. The stamped image was cut with the Deckle & Stitches dies, which worked beautifully with those rough paper edges.
For the sentiment, I used the Scallops & Banners dies but adjusted the cut to make a rectangle instead of the usual notched banner. Flip the banner over and only cut the one side to create any size you need. A tiny paper clip and a burlap string bow finished things off. I especially love how these little rustic details complement the vintage image without making the card feel too busy.
I just love how this one turned out! There’s something so charming about an old-fashioned Christmas card, and sometimes the simplest techniques make the prettiest results. I hope it inspires you to pull out some of your favorite Christmas papers and give them a little vintage love!
