Hi friends! Have you ever hit that creative wall where nothing feels quite right and you just don’t feel like making anything? That’s exactly where I’ve been lately. But I finally sat down with a simple idea, a fresh color combo, and the Sunny Side Up background stamp from Unity Stamp Company and slowly the spark started to come back.

These two cards came together with a no-pressure mindset and I even ended up loving how they turned out. I’ve got a quick JAM sesh video to share if you want to see how I used one background to make both cards.

Just A Minute {JAM} Session Videos are short videos with simple ideas or techniques to help spark your creativity. These quick ideas do not require much explanation, but seeing them in action can be the perfect inspiration you need for your next project. Watch it on YouTube.

Floral Pop Birthday

I started with the top portion of my stamped background, torn at an angle to give it a soft edge. The coral card base adds a warm contrast to the blue-green flowers. Layering in that torn edge with a bit of vellum adds just a touch of softness, and the birthday sentiment in gold cardstock pulls it all together with a polished look. The layout is quick and makes the background the star.

What Makes This Card Special:
- Fresh Color Combo: I ditched my go-to yellow and white daisies and searched Pinterest for something unexpected. The coral and minty tones gave me just the creative jolt I needed.
- Copic Colors: BG11, BG18, BG23; R21, R22, R24; YR00, YR02
- Two Cards, One Background: This layout makes the most of one stamped background—just tear it in half and go.
- Gold Foil Sentiments: Those die cut words in shiny cardstock add instant elegance with minimal effort.
Shimmer and Thanks

For the second card, I used the lower half of the background. That dark teal cardstock made the minty petals pop beautifully. I finished it off with a shiny gold die cut sentiment layered right at the top left for balance and sparkle. One background, two vibes.

How to Get Your Mojo Back
- Use a new product: Cracking open something you haven’t used yet can spark ideas.
- Try a new color combo: Search Pinterest or color challenge blogs for inspiration.
- Find inspiration: Check out stamp company websites & blogs, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, or Facebook to get those wheels turning.
- Keep it simple: Don’t overthink it! Start small and don’t pressure yourself.
- Switch up your layout: A change in design can breathe new life into your process.
- Just start: Sometimes you need to push through the slump. Starting anywhere can lead to joy in the process again. Even if you don’t like the result, I think you will find it fun to just create again.
These simple cards helped me fall back in love with the process of no pressure, just play. I hope this little duo helps you feel inspired if you’ve been in a bit of a funk too. Whether it’s a new color combo, a layout you haven’t tried, or just the act of stamping something, you never know what will bring that spark back.
Wishing you joy in whatever you create next!
