A Pocket Full of Cute

This card starts off sweet and simple. Soft pattern paper layers from the Where Little Gardens Grow paper pack and flowers set the scene, with gentle colors that feel soft and springy. There is just the tiniest hint that something may be hiding just behind the flowers.

Copic Colors:

• Bunny: W1, W3, W4, R21
• Flowers: YR00, R02, Y21, R21, R22, W3

The magic happens when you pull on that cute little heart button tag. Tucked inside the pocket is the bunny, ready to pop up and play peek-a-boo. That small movement completely changes the experience of the card and turns it into a moment instead of just a message.

What Makes This Card Special:

• That peek-a-boo moment: The bunny popping up from the pocket adds instant delight and turns the card into an experience.
• Lifted grass layers: Slightly lifting up the grass tops adds texture and depth without making the card feel bulky.
• Soft spring layers: Pattern paper keeps everything light and cheerful.
• Color matched details: Matching the marker colors to the pattern paper keeps everything feeling cohesive and polished.
• Soft layered framing: Scallops and stitching gently frame the scene and keep the design feeling cozy and finished.

I kept the layers clean and thoughtful. The scalloped edge adds softness. The stitched rectangle creates the pocket without fuss. And the strips of kraft grass and adds a touch of texture that also extends the length of the flowers and pocket too.

Pocket Tips

• Watch your foam tape: Make sure it stays clear of the image on the tag so it slides out easily.
• Test before you glue: Always slide the tag in and out before committing. Use a pencil to mark where the bunny sits on the back of the pocket before adding your foam tape.
• Let dies do the work: Dies are perfect for creating a tag shape to pull out your hidden surprise.
• Make the pull obvious: Word stamps like pull work great or use a visual cue like the heart button and bow.

This interactive pocket card is all about that quiet little pause before the bunny pops up and the smile that follows. The soft layers, gentle texture, and playful pull make it feel special without trying too hard.
