Hi friends! This quick vintage card started with two new releases from Unity Stamp Company and turned into the softest little hello. I used simple stamping, a bit of masking, and gentle ink blending to create that faded sepia look with just enough pink to make the flower glow. It feels easy, lovely, and a little old-soul pretty.

Simple Stamping, Soft Glow
I started by stamping the flowers from The Good You Grew first, then masked off the large bloom so the background could tuck in behind it. For the background, I only wanted the stamped texture on the upper and right side of the card front, so I inked just the area of The Paper Apothecary that would land there. That partial stamping keeps everything soft and airy, with just enough faded, old-paper texture to bring in that vintage charm.
Pro Tip: You do not have to stamp the full background every time. Placing the texture on the upper and right side of the card gives you that vintage feel while keeping the design soft and open.
The ink blending happened in two parts. First, I blended with a mask over the large flower to create that soft pink halo behind it. Then I removed the mask and lightly filled in the bloom so it stayed softer and brighter than the rest of the panel. I love how that glow keeps the flower as the focus without making the card feel too bright or too busy.

Pro Tip: For a cleaner masked look, cut your mask right along the stamped edge or just slightly inside the line. This helps the background stamping sit close to the flower instead of leaving an extra white gap around it.
A few gold watercolor splatters gave the panel that tiny bit of shimmer, and the layered Scallops & Rectangles Die Set pieces finished it with a clean, pretty edge. If you have been waiting for this die set to come back in stock, it is finally here in a limited supply. I added a little ephemera hello sentiment from my stash, but this layout could easily work for birthday, thank you, thinking of you, or just because by changing out the sentiment. Simple, soft, and easy to make your own.
This is the kind of card idea I love to tuck away. Simple enough to make, but still soft, pretty, and special. Change the sentiment, swap the colors, or try a different background stamp and you have a whole new card with the same vintage charm.
