Hi friends. Today’s card is quick & easy with simple stamping and watercolor. I love how much detail this lighthouse scene gives without making the coloring feel hard. I used A Light To Weather By from Unity Stamp Company with Distress Ink for a soft, breezy look that came together pretty darn quick.

Easy Lighthouse Watercolor

I kept this card simple so the lighthouse scene could be the focus. The image from A Light To Weather By has plenty of detail on its own, which makes it a great choice for easy watercolor. I stamped it on watercolor paper, added soft Distress Ink color, and let the stamped lines define the scene.
Distress Ink colors: Broken China, Evergreen Bough, Frayed Burlap, Barn Door

The watercolor is loose and slighly imperfect. A soft blue sky, a little color in the water, and a few warm touches on the lighthouse were enough to bring the image to life. This is one of the things I enjoy about detailed stamps. They create a finished look without requiring careful coloring in every small area.

The torn paper layers from the Seaside Summer paper pack add a bit of texture behind the stamped panel. They help reinforce the coastal theme without adding too much bulk or distraction. The sentiment was fussy cut and popped up with foam adhesive, which adds a little extra dimension without taking attention away from the lighthouse scene.
I love how this one came together with just simple stamping, soft watercolor, and a few torn paper layers. It is an easy little reminder that a detailed stamp can make a quick card feel extra special without a lot of extra work.
