Tearing Things Up with a Vintage Edge and Hot Foil Accents for Mom

Today’s card is all about pattern paper layers, a fun sentiment technique, and hot foiled accents. I’m getting ready for Mother’s Day and using some lovely Unity Stamp Company stamps and vintage papers for my card.

The Details

Once I saw the Vintage Whispers pattern paper, I knew I had to make something with them. There is a great mix of text and floral patterns with a fantastic vintage vibe. I don’t have a lot of stamping going on today but I wanted that sentiment to be the star. I saw this torn away paper technique and loved the idea of framing my sentiment with it.

I don’t know if ‘vintage foil’ is a thing, but I’m loving it. I added a hot foiled diamond pattern to my background panel in a neutral pewter color. The butterflies and tiny flowers were hot foiled in rose gold.

Altogether, I love the mix of the shiny foil and the vintage pattern paper. Plus all the little extra bits too.

Bonus Tip: Use up those leftovers to decorate the inside of your card. Everyone is always so delighted when the inside of the card has a little something extra too.
