Creating a Personalized Cancer Support Card

Hello! Today I’m sharing a cancer support card created with the new Spellbinders Awareness Ribbon stamp and die set. This design is all about personalizing a supportive card with meaningful color, soft layers, and an encouraging message for someone going through treatment.

Personalizing the Card
One of my favorite things about the Spellbinders Awareness Ribbon set is how easy it is to customize for different diagnoses. Changing the ribbon color is such a simple way to make the card feel more personal, while still keeping the same supportive design and heartfelt message.

Common Ribbon Colors

Pink: Breast cancer
Light blue: Prostate cancer
Pearl or white: Lung cancer
Dark blue: Colorectal cancer
Black: Skin cancer
Yellow, purple, and navy: Bladder cancer
Orange: Kidney cancer
Lime green: Non-Hodgkin lymphoma
Peach: Uterine cancer
Purple: Pancreatic cancer

Pink Ribbon Support

I started this design by building around the pink ribbon for breast cancer and keeping the whole card soft and supportive from the very beginning. The background is a panel of blush cardstock embossed with the Loops Embossing Folder and popped up for dimension, which adds texture without taking away from the focal point.

The ribbon was die cut from blush cardstock as well, then softly ink blended with a light pink ink to deepen the color just enough to help it stand out from the background. I love how this keeps everything tone-on-tone while still giving the ribbon a little more presence, and it really highlights how easy the Awareness Ribbon set is to personalize.

To finish the design, I tucked flowers from the Be Bold Blooms die set in and around the ribbon and sentiment for a softer, more thoughtful feel. The florals add that extra bit of care, and the sentiment is such a lovely reminder to take things one step at a time, which makes this set feel especially meaningful for a card like this.

Personalizing a supportive card like this can make such a difference, and I love how this set makes that feel both simple and meaningful. Soft color, gentle texture, and a heartfelt sentiment can go a long way in creating something that feels truly caring.
